How It Works
Polaroid Booth is a 100% client-side application. This means:
- All photo processing happens directly in your web browser
- Your photos stay on your device at all times
- When you close the browser, everything is gone
- No data is transmitted to our servers
Camera Access
When you use the camera feature:
- We request camera permission through your browser
- The camera feed is processed locally in your browser
- No video or images are recorded or transmitted
- You can revoke camera access at any time through your browser settings
Downloaded Photos
When you download a photo:
- The photo is saved directly to your device
- We don't keep a copy
- The download happens entirely in your browser
Analytics and Tracking
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve Polaroid Booth and understand which features are most popular.
What Google Analytics Collects:
- Number of visitors and page views
- Which features and pages are most popular
- General geographic regions (country and city level)
- Device type and browser information
- How long visitors spend on the site
- User engagement metrics
Important: Google Analytics does NOT track or collect your photos. All photo processing happens locally in your browser. Analytics only tracks general website usage patterns.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. These ads help us keep Polaroid Booth free for everyone.
How AdSense Works:
